We will make every attempt to ship every product on time directly to the address specified. Occasionally, this may not be possible. Please read our policy below about shipping requirements and how we handle exceptions.

 

Please supply all requested shipping information and ensure it is accurate to avoid incurring additional fees. Redelivery charges will apply to orders requiring reshipment due to incorrect delivery information. Delivery services will not forward to another address. Occasionally, it may be necessary to contact the recipient by telephone to complete delivery.  Please supply your phone number in case questions arise regarding your order.

 

Our products are shipped from different domestic locations, therefore, delivery cut-off times and carrier information for products we feature varies. Cut-off time is provided on each product page so you will know when to expect delivery of your order. Additionally, since different carriers are used, shipping costs are estimated based on total cost of your order. It may be necessary to bill for additional shipping fees or your order may be credited shipping costs.

 

Please note the different shipping requirements based on the nature of the products ordered.

Chocolate and Baked Goods:

Your shipment of fresh baked goods will usually be sent within 24 hours of receipt. We want to be sure your goodies arrive fresh and timely, therefore, we recommend using 2-Day Air shipping. By choosing a slower shipping method than 2-day air you have opted to decline our Quality Guarantee during checkout. Additionally, packages are shipped Monday through Wednesday to prevent perishable sweets from sitting in a shipping warehouse  over the weekend. Exceptions are made depending on the shipping method chosen. For chocolate and baked goods, orders placed before 9am PST will normally be shipped the same day (as long as it is one of the shipping days). Orders placed after 9am PST will typically be sent the next shipping day. In the unlikely event that an order cannot be fulfilled within three business days of order placement, you will be notified and given the opportunity to make adjustments to your order or cancel it. For PO Boxes or APO addresses, choose ground shipping (Priority Mail) as your shipping method, as FedEx does not deliver to these addresses.

 

Shipping Requirements for Chocolates, Fudge or Chocolate Confection Items:
If your order contains chocolates, fudge or chocolate confection items, Express 2-Day Air shipping is required in order to benefit from our
Quality Guarantee. A Chill Pack (frozen gel pack plus insulation) is required for items that need it for an additional $4. If you choose a slower shipping method than 2-day air or decide to omit the chill pack for heat-sensitive items, you will have the option to decline our Guarantee during checkout. All orders containing chocolates, fudge or chocolate confections will be shipped only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please be sure to provide a shipping address where someone will be present to sign for delivery. See also our Quality Guarantee.  

 

Please note that Chill Packs only stay cold for 2 days, so if your order requires a chill pack, you must also choose 2-day air shipping or the Quality Guarantee is void. For items containing chocolate or fudge, a chill pack is required year-round in order to benefit from our Quality Guarantee that your goodies arrive in optimal condition. We strive to make sure that you always receive our premium products in optimal condition and that every order is covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee. By choosing a slower shipping method than 2-day air or wishing to omit the chill pack for heat-sensitive items, you have opted to decline our Guarantee during checkout.
 

PLEASE NOTE: Chocolate is temperature sensitive. In transit, temperature fluctuations can occur and cause some of the cocoa butter to rise to the surface of the chocolates or "bloom". This is a cosmetic issue only and does not affect the flavor or quality of the chocolates.

 

Shipping Method Options

Express shipping (FedEx)

Express 2-day, 3-day and Overnight (FedEx)

Ground shipping (USPS Priority Mail or UPS)

Ground shipping does not guarantee specific delivery dates for its packages. FedEx Air does guarantee a delivery date corresponding to the specific shipping method chosen. We recommend choosing one of the Express shipping options for delivery of perishable products. Due to the perishable nature of baked goods, a Chill Pack is recommended for all orders in June, July and August or if you are shipping anywhere above 60 degrees any time of the year. To benefit from our Quality Guarantee, a Chill Pack is required year-round for orders containing Fudge and items containing Chocolate. Please note that Chill Packs only stay cold for 2 days, so if your order requires a Chill Pack, you must also choose 2-day Air shipping.

 

Decline Guarantee

For chocolate and baked goods, if you choose a slower shipping method than 2-day air or decide to omit the chill pack for heat-sensitive items, you will have the option to Decline our Guarantee during checkout by specifying in the Special Instructions field that you are declining guarantee.

 

Deliver Without Signature

We always recommend delivery to an address where someone will be present to accept the delivery. FedEx requires a signature at the time of delivery. You may choose the “Deliver without Signature” option. Please note that this option signifies your agreement to indemnify and hold harmless FedEx and/or Leonaria from any resulting claims as it is impossible to control where, at what temperature, or under what conditions your order will be delivered. If the delivery address is to an apartment and no one is present at the apartment or at a front desk, the driver may choose not to leave the package even if you select “Deliver without Signature” for security reasons. Additionally, if the recipient has a signature waiver on file with FedEx, our "Deliver Without Signature" policy applies.

 

Delivery to APO & PO Box Addresses

We do offer shipping to APO and PO Boxes only. For chocolates and baked goods, choose Ground shipping as your shipping method as FedEx does not deliver to these addresses. You may contact us to inquire on these select products prior to ordering.  However, all these shipments take one to two additional days to ship out. In addition there are no loss claims, late delivery refunds or damage claims honored under any circumstances. You ship these orders at your own risk. The time and effort it takes to handle a claim with the post office is simply beyond our capabilities at this time. You can however process claims on your own if you so choose. We do not ship any USPS items the week prior to any holiday. Any orders placed for shipping via USPS during the week prior and during a holiday will ship the first Tuesday after the holiday itself.

 

Weather Delay
If there is a delivery delay that is due to weather or any other cause beyond carrier’s control, a delivery guarantee is void. A delivery attempt will be made at the earliest time that conditions permit.

 

Transit Times
When selecting a shipping method, keep in mind that the transit time begins the day
after the order is shipped and includes only business days. For example, an order that is shipped on Monday via FedEx 3-Day Air will be delivered on Thursday.

 

Address Correction Fee
If an incorrect address is provided at the time of order, carriers usually  charge an address correction fee. Fees vary depending on carrier chosen. This fee will be charged to your credit card or Paypal account to offset the costs of correcting and rerouting a product shipment with an incorrect address to the intended destination. Our shipping carriers charge this fee to us and we are simply passing on the costs to you. This fee will be charged whenever you enter an incorrect street address for an order such as an apartment/suite number that is missing or incorrect, a postal code that is missing or incorrect or any other discrepancy from the address of record shown in the US postal records or in the records of the shipping carrier. Address correction fees are generally assessed 10 to 30 days after the shipment when we are billed by the shipping carrier.

Can I select my shipping date?

Yes. At the time you place your order you may select a shipping date as much as 30 days in the future by noting it in the Special Instructions  section on the order page.

 

Can you guarantee my shipment will reach it's recipient at a specific date?

No delivery date is guaranteed unless Next Day or 2nd Day shipment method is chosen and paid for by the customer. However, we will use our best efforts to deliver on or near the expected delivery date at the time of order for all

shipping methods.

 

My shipment did not arrive on time. Can you give me a credit?

Yes. In the event we fail to ship a product on time and it fails to arrive on time, a $10.00 Courtesy Shipping Credit

can be requested. This does not apply to bulk orders which takes much more time and resources to create and ship.
